Play European Roulette for Fun

I have already highlighted the rules to European Roulette here. This game is presented by Bovada.

Aside from there only being a single zero on the board, what do you need to know about European Roulette?

There is nothing different about the odds for the Inside Bets (bets on the numbers) or Outside Bets (bets on groups of numbers). The single zero gives the house a 2.63% house edge as it alone can make every Outside bet lose. As far as my experience online, I have never seen the imprisonment rule used in regards to the zero.

The big difference comes with the introduction of the Neighbor Bets on the racetrack looking wheel of numbers to the right of the table. These are how the numbers appear on the wheel itself. If you hover over one of these spaces on that track, you can see that you will be placing 5 bets on the wheel, the number itself and the 2 numbers to the left and right of it on the wheel. In effect, you are betting on a slice of the wheel.

I explain this better in the rules of European Roulette page, but the Voisins du Zero (neighbors of zero), Tiers Du Cylindre (third of the cylinder), and Orphans (all numbers left out of the first two groups) will combine to place a bet on every number. Some numbers, such as 25, 26, 28 and 29 will be covered by one chip. 0, 2 and 3 will also be covered by one chip. All others besides 1 and 17 will be two number combinations and a 17 to 1 payout.
