Play American Roulette for Fun

Most people will understand that basic principles behind the game of Roulette. You can find these rules here. You are going to bet on one or more of the 38 spaces that are available. You chips can cover multiple numbers at the same time. Here is what you can do:

Inside Bets (those that are bet on the numbers themselves) -
Single Number - Straight Bet - 35 to 1 payout
Two Numbers - Split Bet - 17 to 1 payout
Three Numbers - Street Bet - 11 to 1 payout
Four Numbers - Corner Bet - 8 to 1 payout
Six Numbers - Line Bet - 5 to 1 payout
Twelve Numbers - Column Bet - 2 to 1 payout

Outside Bets (those that aren't on the numbers directly) -
Third of Table Bets - 1st, 2nd, 3rd 12 - 2 to 1 payout
Half of Table Bets - 1-18 and 19-36 - 2 to 1 payout
Half of Table Bets - Even and Odd - 2 to 1 payout
Half of Table Bets - Black and Red - 2 to 1 payout

With the Inside Bets, there are inherently a house advantage with each of these bets. The true odds are always higher than the payout. The single bet is 38 to 1 true odds and 35 to 1 payout. The double bet is 19 to 1 true odds and 17 to 1 payout.

The only house advantage with the Outside Bets is the 5.26% house edge with the 0 and 00 that cancel out all Outside Bets. Some land based casinos will offer the imprisonment rule where any even money bet that is places will receive half of the wager back when the ball lands on 0 or 00. I have never seen this rule in place when playing online.
